WavePoint Silicon Carbide Ceramic Media

The new and improved ceramic filter media retains all the benefits of previous designs while improved on the strength and lifespan with new production methods and materials. This foam ceramics is a kind of special porous ceramics with a uniform three-dimensional network structure. It has uniform pore distribution, high porosity, small relative density, and large specific surface area for the bacteria to live in.

Almost indestructible in any current filter design. The high strength silicon carbide material provides the strongest, and most consistent open cell structure of any of ceramic foam media. The open cell matrix created using the material will accommodate increased flow rates while maintaining the optimum dwell time for oxygenation and bacteria growth.
